Hi,
my name is Jerry Forster. I am The ReptileMan. I am a
married father of four wonderful sons. I have been collecting
reptiles and amphibians since 1993 and making presentations
at children’s birthday parties and school presentations
since 1996. Sharing my experiences and knowledge of my
exotic pets with children has been a joyful part of my
life. It is thrilling to see the happiness these exhibits
bring to them, their friends, and their parents as well.
Being The ReptileMan has been such fun but I am also a
4th grade teacher and absolutely love my profession.
My wife (Mrs. Reptileman) shares our home with my pets
and has slowly learned to appreciate and even love some
of them. There are many stories I could share about this
slow appreciation but she now takes it all in stride.
She was surprised one day when the largest
snake, a albino Burmese python named Stryder,
joined her downstairs while she was ironing. I was not
home at the time, so she struggled to carry him back upstairs
and put him in his cage!
This is a true family business; Mrs. Reptileman helps
before and after a show and sometimes comes with me, as
does our son Derek, the first reptile lover in the family.
When not studying at A&M, Derek’s younger brother
Colby pitches in as needed also.
